Before and after your waxing session
Before your appointment:
- Let your hair grow to at least 5 mm (about 2 to 3 weeks of regrowth). If the hair is too short, the wax cannot grip it effectively
- Gently exfoliate the area 24 to 48 hours before your appointment to free ingrown hairs and make waxing easier
- Avoid intense sun exposure on the day of your appointment
- Do not wear cream, lotion or deodorant on the area to be treated that day
- If this is your first wax, know that the first session is usually the most uncomfortable and the following ones become easier and easier
After your waxing session:
- Avoid direct sun, saunas, hot baths and swimming pools for 24 to 48 hours
- Do not wear tight clothing over the treated area for 24 hours
- Avoid deodorants and perfumes on waxed areas for 24 hours
- Gently exfoliate 2 to 3 times a week after 48 hours to prevent ingrown hairs
- Moisturize daily with a fragrance-free lotion to keep skin supple
- Do not shave between waxing sessions. It cancels the benefits of waxing and makes the next session harder
